Ernie, un joven que se cuelga alrededor de la estación de bomberos, se vio cerca de un cubo de basura fuego que se propagó a una tienda cercana llena de tanques de oxÃgeno. La lucha contra el fuego, Vargas es enviado al hospital con los pulmones quemados y se desarrolla una infección, mientras que Severide quiere interrogar al muchacho, creyendo que era un incendiario. El niño más adelante admite que su tÃo es el pirómano delito grave. Vargas es diagnosticado con EPOC, poniendo asà fin a su carrera. Él reflexiona saltando desde el techo del parque de bomberos, pero Casey y Severide que hable hacia abajo. Además, Severide salva a una mujer de un accidente de coche y ella lo invita a salir a una cita.
