El comandante de la Marina Ray Trapp muere en extrañas circunstancias durante una misión a bordo del Air Force One, en la que acompañaba al Presidente a Los Angeles para protegerle. Al haber formado parte del Cuerpo Naval, es tarea de los agentes del Departamento de Investigación Criminal de la Marina encargarse de realizar la pertinente investigación y aclarar si la causa de la muerte fue o no natural.
En este caso, contarán con la ayuda de la agente del Servicio Secreto, Kate Todd, que podrÃa llegar a tener más relación con este equipo de investigación criminal de lo que ellos mismos piensan.
